We are a community based organization and a donation to us is community service in action! We proudly serve the 37115 zip code, and from time to time, expenses can mount pretty heavily. Every time we have a missing or found animal, we face a lot of challenges to try to get that animal back to his or her family. This carries with it certain duties that help us get the word out. We make flyers and hang them, drive areas looking for the missing pets, knock on doors. All the while, we're caring for and feeding the animals that we've taken in through generous foster homes. If we are unable to locate a found animal's family, we send each animal to the vet for a full checkup and then deal with any problems that may arise. Every pet that we have vetted gets spayed or neutered. And our awesome fosters often pay for food and preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworms out of pocket. All of these things get very expensive when you consider the high volume of animals we encounter. Our goal is to raise enough funding to help maintain this momentum we've built and continue to serve the Madison and Rivergate community.
